ABOUT

Lauren Seiffert (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Bend, Oregon (the occupied ancestral lands of the Northern Paiute, the Wasco, and the Warm Springs tribes). She earned her BA in General Fine Art and BFA in Digital Art from the University of Oregon and completed her MFA in Visual Studies at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. Lauren is a founding member of FO(u)RT, an interdisciplinary art collective dedicated to collaboration, critical discourse, and collective exhibitions. Her creative portfolio encompasses sculpture, installation, fibers, and video, often incorporating found objects, images, refuse, and social media commentary into darkly humorous, site-specific installations.

Lauren's involvement in the arts extends to her role as faculty in the Arts Media and Technology program at OSU-Cascades. She also served as a Board Member (2020-2023) and currently holds the position of Exhibition Manager at the nonprofit Scalehouse Collaborative for the Arts. Additionally, she serves as the regional coordinator for the Americans for the Arts - Arts and Economic Prosperity Study, where she assesses the economic impact of nonprofit arts organizations in Central Oregon. Her work has been exhibited both locally and nationally, including at Disjecta Contemporary and SATOR Projects.
